This book is a compilation of the nearly 100 profiles of notable deaf person that appeared as a series in The Frat, the official organ of the National Fraternal Society of the Deaf (Chicago, Illinois), from January 1937 to June 1946.  The profiles came from the fluent pen of the Reverend Guilbert C. Braddock, a deaf freelance researcher and writer.
