World Federation of the Deaf A History

The National Association of the Deaf of the United States of America is pleased to publish this book and support the critical work of the World Federation of the Deaf.  Representing deaf interest on the international stage is tremendously complex and the WFD adeptly takes on this global responsibility.  With a watchful eye on the living conditions and human rights of deaf people in all counties, the Federation stands for each of us at the United Nations and its affiliate world organizations.  The WFD is also the conduit through which we share common efforts, successes, and challenges as well as disparities in progress.
